Justice and Peace

The Catholic Campus Ministry at JMU offers its good will and charity to others in a variety of ways. Some of these service activities are:

• Alternative Spring Break trips - service trips over spring break. 
• Big Brothers/Big Sisters - volunteering in the community
• Blood drives - organizing donors, giving blood, setting up
• Soup kitchen/Food pantry - helping out at Blessed Sacrament. 
• Relay for Life - raising money for cancer research
• Nursing home visits and holiday card-making 
• Movie/Justice based discussion nights. 
• Catholic Advocacy Day - working with Congress
• Gleaning - picking vegetables and fruit for soup kitchens
• Hispanic Ministries - getting involved with Harrisonburg's Hispanic population
• Catholic Relief Services - global justice and education. 
• Panera Pick-up - picking up leftover bread and taking it to Blessed Sacrament.
