CCM is a community of students who serve the Lord through service to one another. The JMU student body is made up of about 6,000 Catholics, nearly 1/3 of the total undergraduate population, so it is easy to join fellow Catholic students and to celebrate your faith. CCM is a ministry for students by students. All of our many activities and service projects are coordinated and run by students…peer ministry at its best! We are very active in service projects, worship opportunities and social events. Check out our calendar of events for all the details.
One of the goals of CCM is to be a "home away from home" and many students have found it to be so. The CCM House is conveniently located right on S. Main Street and is very comfortable to just hang out in. It is a great place to worship, meditate, read, play a little Wii, or just kick back and watch a game. CCM’ers feel a strong sense of belonging and are united by faith, service, and fellowship. We truly are a family. I always look forward to those accidental moments of grace when a student just drops by to chat.
I invite you to check out the rest of the website to learn a little bit more about the impact that CCM can have on the young people of the Church, the many different programs and events we have for students, as well as different ways you can support CCM in its mission. Please stop by the house to visit when you are in the area and check out all that CCM has to offer.
Peace,
Fr. Jim Curran
